A five-university UK analysis consortium has launched a £5 million ($6.7m) program to develop electromagnetic non-destructive analysis (NDE) applied sciences able to detecting hidden defects in plane parts, nuclear energy programs, and metallic additive manufacturing (AM) elements.
The Frontiers in Electromagnetic Non-Damaging Analysis Analysis (FENDER) program is funded by the Engineering and Bodily Sciences Analysis Council (EPSRC) and brings collectively scientists from the Universities of Strathclyde, Manchester, Warwick, Bristol, and Newcastle.
