Claire chatted to Chenying Liu from College of Oxford about how a robotic’s bodily type can actively contribute to sensing, processing, decision-making, and motion.
Chenying Liu is a Junior Analysis Fellow and an Affiliate Member of School within the Division of Engineering Science on the College of Oxford. She leads an unbiased analysis programme centered on embodied bodily intelligence, exploring how robotic design can combine geometry, supplies, and management to reinforce autonomy and robustness. Her work goals to develop extra environment friendly and resilient robotic methods by embedding intelligence immediately into their bodily constructions.
