macOS notified me that “bash” had been added to “Login Gadgets & Extensions”. Why?

After updating from macOS Sequoia 11.2 to 11.3, on reboot my Mac knowledgeable that bash from /Macintosh HD/bin/bash had been added to the Permit within the Background group of the Login Gadgets & Extensions panel in System Settings app.

I do know /Macintosh HD/bin/bash is the executable for the bash shell to be run in Terminal.app.

My Query: Why is the bash being added to the background permissions record after the 11.3 replace? Is that this official, required by a brand new characteristic in macOS?

Clearly, this a safety concern to inexplicably have a shell being run within the background.

I clicked the slider knob to deactivate that bash merchandise, and rebooted. Ought to I anticipate some new characteristic to interrupt?
